Couture bespoke rugs by BERENGERE LEROY

Throughout history, great interiors have told their stories through their materials. Rugs, true textile works of art, have endured through the centuries, bearing the imprint of craftsmanship and the memory of cultures.

At BERENGERE LEROY, every  rug  is an exceptional creation, blending the heritage of great weaving ateliers with a contemporary vision of understated luxury.

Expertise rooted in tradition

It is in India, at the crossroads of ancient weaving routes, between the plains of the Ganges and the first foothills of Nepal, that BERENGERE LEROY rugs come to life. This city, heir to an ancestral textile art, has been renowned for centuries for its expertise in hand-weaving.

As far back as the Mughal Empire, the master weavers of Mirzapur crafted rugs of remarkable precision, inspired by Persian and Indian motifs. Passed down from generation to generation, their meticulous gestures continue to give rise to pieces of unparalleled quality. Each woven fibre is a tribute to time and the hand.

Our ateliers carefully perpetuate this tradition, selecting raw, noble materials such as hemp and eucalyptus fibres, worked with respect for the materials and the craft.

Every  BERENGERE LEROY rugs  becomes a conversation between hand and material, where the interplay of textures elevates the imperfection of handcraft:

Hemp, robust and textured, lends the rug a raw, authentic presence, evoking the spirit of natural fibres patiently woven.

Eucalyptus fibres, naturally silky, bring fluidity and luminous depth, evoking the refined drape of our couture fabrics.

Artisanal weaving, irregular and vibrant, celebrates the beauty of imperfection, where each knot and each relief becomes a unique signature.

The Couture Spirit

Like the great Couture Maisons, where every stitch and every fold reveals exceptional craftsmanship, BERENGERE LEROY rugs are conceived in a spirit of subtle, sensory luxury.

Each design is conceived as a textile silhouette, where the fluidity of the weave meets exacting attention to detail. It is not simply a matter of creating a rug, but of shaping a timeless piece, capable of engaging with a space and revealing its very soul.

Our rugs are available in deep, sophisticated textures, like hand-woven Chanel tweed or a supple drape worked in a Milanese atelier. Each fibre becomes a narrative thread, a silent story that only material can tell.
